A website audit is a review of your website designed to identify areas that may be affecting performance, usability, search visibility, security or how effectively the site represents your business.
Our audit explains the important findings in plain English and gives you practical next steps.
Is the audit really free?
Yes.
There’s no charge for the initial Poppy Design Studio website audit and no obligation to buy anything afterwards.
Do you need my WordPress login?
Not for the initial review.
We begin with a non destructive review of the website and information that can be assessed without changing anything.
If something later needs website, hosting or server access to confirm, we’ll tell you. The attached audit makes the same limitation clear: some hosting, malware and search indexing findings require additional access before they can be confirmed in full.
Will you tell me everything that’s wrong with my website?
We’ll highlight the issues we believe are most useful and important for you to understand.
A free audit is intended as an initial website health review, not a replacement for every possible specialist technical, security or accessibility assessment.
What happens if you find a serious problem?
We’ll explain what we found, why it matters and what we think the sensible next step is.
We won’t make changes to your website without discussing them with you first.
Does requesting an audit mean I have to redesign my website?
Not at all.
Sometimes the right recommendation will be improvements to the existing website.
In other cases, the amount of work required may mean a rebuild makes more sense.
Your attached sample audit, for example, recommended redesign rather than repair because the combined maintenance, security and compatibility work would likely have been a poor use of budget.
The recommendation depends on what we actually find.
Will you check my SEO?
We’ll look at the areas of search visibility and website structure that are appropriate within the initial audit.
A full SEO strategy, keyword research project or ongoing SEO campaign is a separate service.
Is this a full security audit?
No.
We may identify signs or concerns worth investigating, but a full cybersecurity assessment is a separate type of work.
If we see something that needs specialist attention or further access to verify, we’ll make that clear.
Is it a full accessibility audit?
No.
We may identify obvious usability or accessibility considerations during the review, but the free Poppy Design Studio audit is not a formal WCAG accessibility audit.
The sample audit itself makes this distinction clear, noting that a full accessibility audit was outside the scope of that initial health check.
