About This Project

Thrapston Website Design The Woolpack Inn

The Woolpack Inn were kindly recommended to us by another client. We visited and chatted to the owner and manager of The Woolpack Inn to understand what they wanted to improve on their old website. We created a free report so they could understand what issues their site had. The Woolpack Inn wanted a fresh new design, an update to the colours and menus which used their old branding, as they updated some brand colours recently. They also wanted new professional photography so we recommended Nick Freeman Photography to them, and began work on their new site. They wanted to make the site easy to use, and simple to book tables in the restaurant and rooms in their bed and breakfast.

We created a large slider for the site to make use of their new photos but added buttons and text so the client did not lose the prime retail of the above the fold area. We introduced the new purple colour into their branding and removed the dated owl artwork background. We simplified the navigation and removed any pages from the old site with outdated content and removed links to pages that no longer existed, creating 404 errors.

The Woolpack Inn are really happy with the new website and they have had really great feedback from their customers. We look forward to Google indexing their new pages which are now optimised for Google so we can hopefully see an increase to their traffic and visitors. We are glad to be working with them on an ongoing basis every month providing updates to the website and updating their food menus.
